Day 1

Arrival at Paro Airport and you will be received by our company representatives. After arrival you will drive to Paro Dzong. The fortress of Heap of jewels was built in 1645 by Zhabdrung  Ngawang  Namgyel. Then have Lunch in Paro town and drive to Thimphu which is around 1 hrs 30 minutes. The sightseeing for the first day is very light which includes:-

The Giant Buddha statue

Takin preservation Centre

Zilukha Nunnery

Day 2

After breakfast, proceed towards Punakha. En route, halt at Dochula; a mountain pass leading further into the Punakha Valley. It offers a stunning view 360 degree panoramic view of Eastern Himalayan Ranges. The view is especially scenic on a clear, winter Days with snow capped mountains forming a majestic backdrop to the tranquillity of the 108 chortens(stupa) gracing the mountain pass.

Have lunch in Punakha and take a short hike to Chimi lhakhang. After hike visit Punakha Dzong built in 1637.  

Overnight stay in Punakha/Wangdue. (Hotel 3 Star rated)

Day 3

Early morning drive to Gangtey (65Km). The drive is for 3 hours and the road condition is very bad as the road widening construction is carrying on. The journey will be driving through different vegetations and have Lunch enrouote. For the day visit Crane information centre and explore about the auspicious bird called Black necked crane.

Overnight stay in Phobjikha: (3 star rated Hotel)

Day 4

After breakfast, take a gentle Gangtey Natural trail hiking. The trail gives you a splendid view of beautiful Phobjikha valley. The valley of Phobjikha is one of the most beautiful spots in Bhutan. It is a flat valley, giving an impression of vast space, an extremely rare experience in Bhutan where most of the valleys are tightly enclosed with thick forest.

After a hike for an hour, visit Gangtey Goenpa Temple where you can see many monks studying in that Monastic Institution. Lunch enroute and then drive back to Capital Thimphu.

Day 5

For this day visit:-

 Memoral stupa

Painting School where you can see the students learning thirteen different Arts and crafts.

National Library

Note: If the day falls on weekend, you can even visit centenary vegetable market where farmers across the Country bring their farm products for sale. Visit one Famous Restaurant for Lunch. By evening, you can drive to Paro for the next day trekking towards tigers Nest.  (1 hr and 30 minutes)

Day 6

Morning, hike up to the view point of “Taktsang”, popularly known as Tiger’s Nest Monastery.  Afternoon, sightseeing in and around Paro Valley and enjoy Hot stone bath.

Day 7

After breakfast, transfer to Paro Airport for your departure to Bangkok.
